Mudcloth Batik Napkin

These 100% cotton batik napkins feature a zig zag woodblock motif. Batik is a traditional Indonesian dying technique where melted wax is stamped or painted onto fabric that is then dyed. The color cannot penetrate the wax so in that way a reverse motif is created. The wax is later boiled or ironed off of the fabric. Sometimes there is still a little bit left, not to worry, it is easily removed. The napkins are really soft and absorbent and actually improve with age. Made in Bali, these napkins can be machine washed in warm water & tumble dried with low heat.
